I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER MET LYN BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN ABOUT HER ON THE CROCODILE HUNTER SERIES AND FROM THE WAY YOU HEAR ABOUT STEVE TALK ABOUT HER YOU GET THE TRUE FEELING THAT SHE WAS A TRULY WONDERFUL , GIVING PERSON. SHE DEDICATED HER LIFE TO CONSERVATION, STARTING AND OPERATING THE QUEENSLAND REPTILE AND FAUNA PARK NOW KNOWN AS "AUSTRALIA ZOO" WITH HER HUSBAND BOB IRWIN. SHE RAISED THREE WONDERFUL CHILDREN. ONE WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE AS THE CROCODILE HUNTER, STEVE IRWIN. IF NOT FOR LYN AND BOB,S GUIDANCE YOU COULD BE SURE THAT STEVE IRWIN WOULD NOT BE THE MAN HE IS TODAY. HE HAS BEEN TAUGHT AND EDUCATED IN THE WAYS OF ALL THINGS CONSERVATION BY TWO TRULY WONDERFUL INDIVIDUALS, LYN IRWIN WAS ONE OF THOSE SPECIAL PEOPLE. I SURE WOULD BE PROUD TO CALL HER MOTHER, IM SURE STEVE IRWIN FEELS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.

STEVE, I AM TRULY SADDENED BY YOUR LOSS, ALL I CAN SAY IS LYN IRWIN WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE. MY HEARTFELT THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN THIS TIME OF SADNESS

GOD BLESS.

I want to pay respects for a woman I've never even met. Someone who lived as far as the opposite side of the world to me. I'd like to say I knew her, but I can't. I'd like to say I knew what she looked like, but I've never even seen a picture of her. Everything I've heard about her I've heard from other people, read on the Internet or seen on TV. Basically all I know about her was that she brought a few wonderful people into the world, and that she was one of us. A person who could hear the cries of diminishing wildlife and respond with love. A conservationist. A naturalist. People like this are few and far between. Or maybe I should say that she was one of them, rather then one of us, because I don't know if I belong to this group of people. I embrace the Earth and her wildlife, and every day I try harder to do good for it. Some people give with all their soul, like this woman, and this is what I try to do. But I don't know if I am succeeding. So as her body goes back to the Earth and her soul departs to the afterlife, I am left with this question: Am I one of them?

I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of Lyn Irwin's accident. Although, I never knew her and had only seen her a couple of times on The Crocodile Hunter series, I know she must have been an wonderful person. She was a lovely lady, who helped rescue injured and orphaned animals. She raised three children, while working with her husband Bob to start up the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park, known today as Australia Zoo. I'm sure she must have been very proud of the Zoo and extremely proud of her son, Steve. My prayers go out to the entire Irwin family.

It is hard to find the words to express my sorrow for the Irwin Family. One thing I can say is that I know God must have desperately needed Lyn's help in caring for all his wonderful creatures in Heaven to have taken her at such a young age. I find great peace knowing she is up there looking after all my lost, beloved pets. Lyn, you truly gave the world a wonderful gift in your son, Steve. If not for your's and Bob's guidance, too many people would be unknowledgeable and uncaring of the dangerous creatures he works so hard to protect. I have gained a whole new respect for things like crocs, snakes, lizards, and countless other animals. For this I would like to thank you. Steve, my heart aches for you and your family in this time of grief. I only hope you can see that even though your Mum is no longer here with you, she will never stop watching over you with all the love and wisdom which she showered you with while here on this earth. God Bless you and your family and please know that my prayers are with you.

My deepest sympathy and loving prayers go out to the family and friends of Lyn Irwin. What a wonderful giving person she is to have raised a family so dedicated to the needs of others. May her journey to heaven be one of peace and joy and may comfort come to those left behind. Thank you to the Irwins and their associates for opening my eyes to the beauty of the world we sometimes take for granted.
